Letter to the Editor – It’s a Humanitarian Issue! 6/18/18
Technically, little children are being ripped from their parents because the government says the parents are entering America illegally. In many cases, the premise of illegal entry is faulty; they are seeking asylum. The Trump administration has made it more difficult for immigrants to seek asylum. Whatever the legal technicalities, the atrocious attack on children is a deliberate policy choice of the Trump administration which can and should be stopped tomorrow!
It’s a humanitarian issue! Have you heard the tape recordings of the little children, torn apart from their parents? I cannot find it, but just heard it on the news. These kids do not understand that it is long term detention, deliberately and needlessly caused by the Trump administration. They just want “Mommy”. They say they hope “auntie” can get word to “Mommy” to pick them up soon” it is absolutely heartbreaking! Since when is “Uncle Sam” a child predator?!

This is a moral issue, a moral crisis, because, as is more than clear by now, our dipstick president has no morals. RAISE HELL ABOUT IT!
Make note of all legislators who do not vehemently condemn this policy and vote them OUT of office in November!

I get lots of letters published, and ghost write for others. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO REACH THOUSANDS OF READERS! The keys to getting your Letter published are:
1. Keep it to 250 words or fewer.
2. Do not make it about “poor little old me”. Describe the problem as one which not only affects the individual, but is a senseless or ineffective measure, policy, or law which also harms communities and society. For example, with reentry, the obstacles make it unnecessarily difficult for the individual, but also harm society by making it hard to become productive, spending money and paying taxes in the community, and they cause increased recidivism = increased crime.
3. Speak from your heart.
4. Google any facts you are not sure about.
5. Do not name-call.
